Great day for golf course photography
The first frost of the year was on the 2nd November at the Gog Magog Golf Club in Cambridge and the unusually dry and warm October has helped the trees keep their leaves for longer than normal. Autumn colour has to be the best time of the year to photograph golf courses, bringing a variety of colours into view with the added bonus that the sun remains low in the sky for most of the day. For the best golf course photographs early light is the best but needs careful planning to check where the light will appear first. A great free resource is the Photographer's Ephemeris it shows sunrise and sunset times and directions utilising images from google earth. There is s free web version and apps that can be downloaded for mobile devices. If you want to be an expert golf course photographer its a great place to start.
